Coming Soon... brings together a sequence from Tarkovsky's futuristic film Solaris, shot in Tokyo in 1971, and the artist's remake of it, shot in present day Vancouver. Serving to highlight the uncanny similarities between two past constructed visions of the future, "one constructed in celluloid and time", the other constructed in concrete and space. Exhibited at Access Artist-Run Centre for a Vancouver audience, the paralleled imagery forms a memory bridge that blurs the immediate outside with the experiential moment afforded by the cinematic display....
